Washington & Idaho Trip

Tom's Dad recently passed away. So we made a trip over to Idaho and Washington for his funeral. It was a sad time but we were also able to visit with some of Tom's family. Both Tom's Mom and his Dad grew up in the Prosser Washington area.

Tom's Uncle Lyle took us on a little tour of Prosser, Wa, where he grew up. This was up on a hill overlooking the area below. It was hot outside....over 100 degrees.
Lyle pointing out where Tom's Grandpa worked.

This was the house that Tom's Dad grew up in. Tom and the kids are standing with his Uncle Ken. The nephew of the lady that lives there now was kind enough to let us walk around a little bit and take some pictures.

On the drive from Washington to Boise, Idaho we followed along the Oregon Trail. We were able to stop at this large interpretive center.

Inside there was a large display with scenes from the Oregon trail.

In this picture you can see the current road cutting across the upper third of the picture also a faint line going across the center of the picture. The faint line is the actual Oregon trail.
