This spring we attended an Outdoor Kids Expo at the Teller Wildlife Refuge. The whole thing was focused on kids with tons of hands-on activities from building a birdhouse to practicing with a fly fishing rod. Each booth also had lots of free give away items. The kids ended up with t-shirts, hats, pencils and more. Ellie even won a drawing for a free week at the Teller Wildlife Refuge Nature day camp. The camp begins next week and she is excited to attend. The following pictures are a few of the fun activities the kids were able to participate in.
Owen shooting an airsoft gun.
Ellie shooting a bow.
Owen shooting a bow as well. He had just recieved a bow from a friend a few days earlier so he was really excited to shoot this one.

Owen getting a boost and Ellie starting out.
Ellie made it to the very top. She had to really stretch to reach the hand and footholds but she made it and was really proud of herself.
When we got home the kids had to practice their archery more. Owen was soooooo pleased that he got the deer in the kill zone. Ellie was proud of him too :)
