Magruder Road Drive

We went for a drive on the Magruder Road. Last summer there was a large wildfire along that corridor. We wanted to see the burn damage and just explore a bit. It was a fun drive. There were lots of beautiful wildflowers to spot. We got out at a campground and made a fire to cook our supper. It was a fun adventure.

Ellie was searching for kindling and Owen was getting ready to light the fire.

Grace observed everything from her perch.

Lighting the fire.

Cooking hotdogs.

Owen is a pretty good hot dog roaster.

Owen was able to use a knife to carve. He was so thrilled and whittled a stick to a sharp point.

Owen sharpening his stick.

He was so pleased that he was allowed to use a knife and carve.

Meanwhile Ellie was making a shelter.

......And playing in the water.
