Old buildings in Bannack. I think this house was the largest and nicest in the town.
Another house
More town....
Some houses had period items in them. These were some kitchen utensils.
The kids and Tom zipped past me on a carriage ride.
Grace and I were walking
Ellie and Owen checking out what to do next.
Owen checking it out. (When Owen came around the man came over and said it was ok for them to touch.)
Merry Go Round!
Waiting for their pan of soil to look for gold.
Owen found lots of garnets.
Ellie found garnets and also a couple tiny flakes of gold.
Candlemaking
Owen was pleased with his candle.
This year there were some people there doing trail rides. The kids were so excited to ride the horses. Ellie was glad they gave her a paint horse.
Owen getting the saddle adjusted for him.
Ellie was able to ride without help, but the trail guy gave her his horse because they were short one and so some of the time he had to guide the horse so it knew where to go.
Owen had fun riding by himself. He was so pleased that he was able to do it.
A team of Highland oxen
We enjoyed watching them.

Oh my this does bring lots of memories back of fun days there. I am glad you were able to go this year and be involved in the fun activities. Do you still have the little basket you made there a few years back on a very hot day if I remember correctly? We always enjoy seeing the pictures ...thanks!
