Music and Time Museum

Last week we visited the Music and Time Museum. This museum consists of a private collection of musical instruments, bells, clocks, irons and various other items. The first room is literally covered in clocks. They are all set for different times so you continually hear different chimes. This room also contains some very beautiful music boxes and phonographs. Our tour guide spoke English so it was fun for a change to understand what what being said. The next room she took us in contained tons of bells. There were large cow bells to little tiny bells. They were all strung across the wall and made such interesting rings when struck. The guide rang a little popular Russian tune using various bells. Downstairs contained irons. Apparently way back when......over 30 different irons were needed to iron a single dress. I told Tom he should be grateful we didn't' live then because even now he barely gets shirts with the wrinkles 'shook out'. Ellie was given a little souvenir bell by the tour guide. She loves to ring the bell or more like throw it around and giggle at the sound. This museum was a wonderful place to visit and we hope to go back again.

I see who Ellie's mother is holding in her hands and I see what Ellie is holding in her hand, but I don't know what Ellie is holding in her mouth (?) Neat place,it appears to be the type of place that Ellie's mother would have visited with her family when she was "younger".
