We have really been trying to practice speaking Russian with a variety of people. Our new favorite practice person works at the 24 hour bus stop store, which is located right below our apartment. We come to him in the evening usually around 7 pm and practice a few phrases. He seems genuinely glad to see us and even makes other customers wait while he "speaks" with us. (There is another lady that works at the same time.....so don't worry, we are not making enemies of the other neighborhood people by making them wait.) We hope he likes us enough to let us continually come back and practice with him and who knows.....maybe even he will become a good friend.
