Two months ago we went to Deception Pass Beach and Owen was able to crawl around and play in the sand. He LOVED it so we thought he would like a sandbox for his birthday. As you can see from the pictures below he was thrilled.
Right after I set him in the sandbox......

Ellie is in now and with toys......
This is pretty fun.
