Last batch of pictures for now.......
This was a neat Hilltribe village where they were also harvesting rice. It was interesting to see how they harvested and Ellie even got to help a little.
The little boy in the top and bottom picture really liked playing with the kids. When we walked away the first time he cried and ran after the kids so his mom brought him along with us and he played more. They had fun playing in the dirt with rocks and sticks. The ladies in the long neck tribe wear these heavy rings on thier necks. Ellie got to try one on....not something she would like to wear every day.
More rice harvesting. Everyone chips in to help.
The Royal Flora is a beautiful international gardens area. They were gearing up for the big two month expo and we were able to visit the week before and see some of the stunning flowers and buildings.
This is more pictures form the Royal Fora Expo along with another hilltop temple and budda.
I really liked the Celedon pottery. The beautiful green color comes from a natural wood ash glaze. It was fun to watch people making and glazing the pottery. There are so many unique handicrafts made here and such amazingly skilled people.
The Night Market is a neat place to visit in the evening. All the sellers have their little street shops set up and you can buy a variety of items. When we would drive b during the day Owen would notice the empty stalls and thought they were rabbit cages. Kind of looked like them :). Ellie, grandma and Tom were able to get a foot massage. Ellie sat and enjoyed her 30 minute massage. Owen even got a little rub from Mommy.
Here we are all packed up to head home. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for an awesome visit to Thailand!
