Owen's Cherry Pie

The Flathead cherries are in season and Owen cannot get enough of them. He asked if he could make a cherry pie. He spent about 40 minutes pitting all his cherries and then made the pie by himself. He was so pleased that he did it almost entirely by himself. It was a great tasting pie too :)

The best part was cutting the top. After he started making big cuts in it he told me he was making that design top. Come to find out he had wanted a lattice top and thought we just cut the pattern. Next time we will have an official lattice top.
