We really enjoy going to the nearby wildlife refuge. There are so many kinds of birds and waterfowl to watch. These pictures are from about a month ago, but thought you might enjoy seeing them anyway.

This was the first time we have seen a turtle there.
There are some trails that go around the various ponds and so we walked awhile on them. Before we left the kids both packed their little backpacks with water, nature drawing books, bird identification book, binoculars and various other "essentials".
Time for a little break.....
We came across a spotting scope so all had to have a turn looking through it.
