This summer, Ellie's little 12 in tire bike with training wheels was looking a bit small. She pedaled around on it anyway. This last month she decided she would like a new, bigger bike. She has been diligent in picking up pine cones in the yard (we have a ton that fall from the Ponderosa Pines and we can't move over them since they are so big. Ellie picks them up and we pay her a little bit for it.) She was still a long way off from having enough for a new bike. Yesterday as we were driving home we passed the second hand furniture store and guess what we saw outside on the sidewalk for sale.......A 16 in tire girls bike. It was $22 which is just about what Ellie had in money. The only problem was that one tire and tube was shot and it would need a new one. So Tom went to the bike shop next door to see how much a tire would cost. As we waited for him I got out of the car to do something and right beneath my feet in the parking lot was a $20 bill. God provided the extra money for Ellie to get the replacement tire for her new bike.
She was so excited to receive it and has spent a ton of time riding it. She asked that we not put the training wheels on it. So we left them off and away she went......balancing like she had no problem at all.
Ellie and Daddy fixing the tire.......
Go Ellie.......
Here she comes...........
