Bitterroot Mountains

About a week ago we went on a drive on Highway 93 South. It was a beautiful sunny day and I thought this mountain peak was especially pretty with the cloud hovering over the top of it. It is called Trapper Peak. Just after I took this picture we encountered a logging truck off the road. He had a full load of logs and had slipped off the side of the road spilling logs. There were other trucks there and also a log lifer machine putting logs on another truck so the old one could be pulled back on the road. it was interesting to watch how they unloaded the logs and loaded them back up.
