Some Fun Decemebr Activities

These pictures show a few fun activities the kids did in December. 

Every year they each get to pick out, buy and put together a box of Christmas gifts for Operation Christmas Child. They have a lot of fun doing this and were really proud of the gifts they put together for the children.

This year we did an advent calendar reading/activity from "What's in the Bible's Everyday Immanuel". The kids had fun making and decorating a little pocket calendar.

Each day they drew out a little paper with an activity, reading, craft etc to do. And on the candle days we did a special advent reading, candle lighting and ornament craft.

Ellie loves wreaths and this year she was so excited when we told her we would get one to put up on our door. We drove up to a family company that makes wreaths and sends them all over the US. The smell in the100 year old barn where the wreaths were made was amazing. The pine sent was so strong. Our wreath and also table center piece put off such a wonderful scent. In this picture Ellie is proudly showing you her wreath choice.

 

Cookie baking is always lots of fun. Owen was pleased how his tiny cookie turned out.
